Care, creativity and collaboration

Community Engagement. Giving back is important to us. We recognise our position in society and are proud as a team to be able to give back to our community. We aim to do our part in contributing to a world that is environmentally healthy, economically stable, politically fair, and supports equal opportunity for all.

Our Charity Partner

Hoskins is proud to be a long-term partner of PCYC, supporting their mission to provide essential services to children and young people across Western Australia. For over nine years, we have contributed through financial donations, corporate volunteering, pro bono support, gifts in kind, and raising awareness. We are committed to continuing this partnership for many years to come with Brett Hoskins recently joining the PCYC Campaign Committee.

PCYC is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in early intervention and therapeutic services for those affected by childhood abuse. Established in 1903 as one of Perth’s first orphanages, PCYC was founded by Anglican nuns Sister Kate and Sister Sarah, who believed in providing a nurturing environment for children. Sister Kate was instrumental in introducing the cottage home system and played a significant role in caring for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people children from the Stolen Generations.

Over the past century, PCYC has evolved into a leading community service provider, offering comprehensive support, education, and care to vulnerable children and families. A pioneer in best practices for addressing childhood abuse, PCYC established Australia’s first and second Advocacy Centres, where children receive holistic care from police, psychologists, and other professionals, reducing the need for them to repeatedly recount their experiences.

In addition to out-of-home care, PCYC offers outreach services and programs to support children, youth, and families in need. One such initiative is the Education and Employment Training (EET) Programme, designed for vulnerable teens aged 14 to 16. Registered with the Department of Education and Training, the program receives referrals from the Department of Child Protection, Family Support and the Department of Justice. Over a six-month period, participants gain valuable work experience, develop teamwork and work ethic, and receive a wage for their contributions. Additionally, our partnership allows participants to visit our project sites, where they witness firsthand how teamwork and dedication translate into successful outcomes.
