RSM Fremantle – Reception Refurbishment

SET WITHIN THE ICONIC, HERITAGE LISTED MANNING BUILDINGS IN THE HEART OF FREMANTLE, THIS NEWLY CREATED TENANCY INCLUDED IN PART, THE OLD MAJESTIC THEATRE HAD BEEN VACANT SINCE ITS CLOSURE IN 1938.

With the owners having breathed new life into this beautiful building, MKDC documented a highly designed office space for the RSM team that was sensitive to integrity of the heritage building. Prominence of the original features were amplified against the contrast of modern finishes such as glazed, black framed meeting rooms.

Three buildings had been combined to create the new tenancies with exposed brick left within, capturing and retaining the classic integrity of their heritage.

Works included the creation of a custom built reception desk set within the client meeting and entertainment space. Within a large vaulted space, we incorporated a lounge/waiting area and installed new structural beams to create a series of meeting and conference rooms and a large board room. Acoustic treatments were used throughout to ensure they met the operational needs and confidential nature of the meetings to be held within.

Behind this area, open plan and closed office spaces with significant custom joinery storage solutions were built, quiet rooms were installed and a large break out space that also incorporated collaborative space for staff, made use of the natural light flooding in.
