OXFORD FOYER – FAÇADE REMEDIATION

HAVING BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A BUILDING CONTAINING POTENTIALLY FLAMMABLE ACP PANELS, THIS BUILDING ON OXFORD STREET IN LEEDERVILLE WAS THE FIRST GOVERNMENT BUILDING IN WA TO REPLACE THEM. IN ADDITION TO THE PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPOSITE OF THE PANELS, SIGNIFICANT ISSUES WERE IDENTIFIED WITH THE BRICKWORK AROUND WINDOW PENETRATIONS CAUSING WATER INGRESS TO RESIDENCIES.

Features of this project include:

Acting as Head Contractor we are working closely with the contractor to ensure safety is paramount at all times. With the majority of works being undertaken at heights in a highly trafficked and foot fall area for both the building and those adjacent; adherence to our OHS systems is critical

Working closely with a specialist façade contractor, works included the full removal of panels, structural remediation and re-engineering of structure to accommodate new panels

Replacement of brick window surrounds and installation of new aluminium window joinery, flashings and seals.

Works were carried out over 10 stages to accommodate existing tenants within the building and their tenancy agreements.
