CURTIN UNIVERSITY – B500 MECHANICAL UPGRADE REFURBISHMENT

“The project was technically intricate and required proactive attention to ensure it was successfully delivered."

Building 500 is home to the Curtin University chemistry centre. Our scope was to upgrade the existing mechanical systems directly above the operating laboratories in a live environment setting. The challenges on this project included materials handling of new mechanical plant and duct, working without causing interruption to any building users and working with the design team to ensure the new services fit inside very restricted spaces. Regular meetings were held with Curtin Facilities Management and the Laboratory Manager to ascertain their requirements and allow us to forward plan services shut downs, crane lifts and materials handling around their schedules.
